If you guessed tofu, you are right. The use of tofu (soybean curd) has steadily increased as more and more people have become increasingly con- cerned about the status of their health. Tofu is just one of the unusual but delicious foods demonstrated at the Bread of Life Natural Living Center's cooking and nutrition programs. Palmer of N. Thetford recently departed on a deployment ..to the Mediterreanean Sea. He is a crewmember aboard the replenishment oiler USS Milwaukee, homeported in Norfolk, Va. During the six-month deployment, his ship will participate in various exer- cises with other 6th Fleet units and those of Allied nations. Port visits are scheduled for Spain, France, Italy, Israel and Egypt. The Milwaukee is 659 feet long and carries a crew of 390. Peggy Mouiton, is to let people know, not only that they can be much healthier and happier with natural foods, but that the foods can be delicious and very economical. During the classes we try to get the people involved in the foods being made so as to make it easier for them to prepare the same recipes at home. Some unusual sounding but delicious recipes include vegetable patties, tofu patties, almond nut loaf, Greek lentil soup, scrambled tofu, strawberry supreme and carob cream pie. There are also old favorites but with a new twist like whole wheat pizza and tofu lasagna. There is no fee for the cooking programs. Donations are accepted though. A buffet meal is made from the various foods at the end of each class and is free. Classes run one Sunday each month from 1-4 p.m. and advance registration is required. Paul Pinkham, a dairyman 'from Lisbon, N.H., and YC director of Agri-Mark's Region 15, has announced the YC meeting in his region will he held next week on Wed- nesday, March 3, 1982, at 12:00 noon at the Lincoln Inn in St. Johnsbury, Vt. In his announcement, Pinkham noted that the Agri- Mark YC meeting is open to any dairymen between the ages of 18 and 35 whoare in a management position on an Agri-Mark member farm. Paul Pinkham, a dairyman 'from Lisbon, N.H., and YC director of Agri-Mark's Region 15, has announced the YC meeting in his region will he held next week on Wed- nesday, March 3, 1982, at 12:00 noon at the Lincoln Inn in St. Johnsbury, Vt. In his announcement, Pinkham noted that the Agri- Mark YC meeting is open to any dairymen between the ages of 18 and 35 whoare in a management position on an Agri-Mark member farm. In addition, other interested dairymen in parts of the Vermont counties of Caledonia, Essex, Orange and Washington and Coos county and part of Grafton county in New Hampshire are cordially invited to attend. Pinkham notes that an in- formative program about the Agri-Mark Base-Excess Program is planned. Agri-Mark's Region 15 YC meeting is on March 3, at 12:00 noon at the Lincoln Inn in St. Johnsbury, Vt.
