SUMMER
CAMP STAFF
SITE 8C PROGRAM DIRECTOR: 37.5 hours a week.
Work together to oversee the entire program structure and
needs, as well as the day—to—day operations and ensure, camp
is running smoothl . The Site Director’s main focus in
overseeing the Hea Counselor and staff and dealing with
parent concerns. The program director works mainly with
the recreation director and ensuring all invoices, payments
and rosters are properly recorded.
HEAD COUNSELOR: 35 hrs. a week; Oversees the
counselors. Responsibilities include delegating tasks to
counselors; coordinatin counselors and CIT work schedules
(ensuring they are compfiant with Vermont State Regulations
and following camper to staff ratio requirements).
COUNSELORS: 32 hours a week. Counselors report
directly to Head Counselor. They delegate appropriate tasks
to keep CIT involved. Work together effectively engage the
campers in the daily programming.
COUNSELORS IN TRAINING: Up to 30 hours. CITS
are support staff for counselors and head staff. They help
lead and problem—solve dailty activities and are responsible
for giving feedback to a counselor on campers’ needs. ,
Volunteer position, no compensation.

LIFEGUARD
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons of
Treasure Island beach by preventing and responding to emergency
situations. The lifeguard reports to the Head Lifeguard(s) and/or
Treasurer Island Manager.
Responsibilities besides lifeguarding include performing mainte-
nance and cleaning duties; may teach swim lessons if certified Wa—
terfront Safety Instructor (WSI).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Lifeguards must have current American Red Cross certification in
lifeguard training, first aid, CPR and AED; must demonstrate suffi-
cient maturity and responsibility to be entrusted with surveillance
and rescue duties; lakefront experience is preferred. Good charac-
ter, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and
self-control in interacting with patrons a must.
The gate attendant is responsible for collecting fees and educating
users about p‘ark facilities and rules. Candidate must be proficient in
maintaining an organized record of daily transactions and attendance;
answering the phone; submitting monies and records daily; and re-
sponsible for cleaning duties as well.
QUALIFICATIONS: ' .
Candidate should be reliable, punctual with integrity, enthusiasm,
patience and a’ sense of humor in interacting with patrons. Also ba-
sic skills in math and record keeping are necessary.
