Dated at Fairlee, in the County of Orange and State of Vermont, this 27th day of April, 1981. Allen D. Avery John Davis Mary Cuthbertson Fairlee Town School Directors Fairlee, Vermont April 27, 1981 Ibereby certify that the foregoing was recorded before posting. Attest: Shirley D. Godfrey, Town Clerk now on the rolls. Under the 1980 disability amendments, the Social Security Administration is required to review most disability cases at least once every 3 years, starting in 1982. The present initiative is an important first step toward meeting this review requirement. About 350,000 cases are to be reviewed in fiscal year 1981. Then in 1982, over 500,000 cases will be reviewed. The agency will base the initial cases selected for review on studies which indicate those cases most likely to result in recovery. Additional data is expected to result from the disability investigations which should indicate other types of cases where immediate review would appear warranted. Disability payments are made under social security and SSI to people with a severe physical or mental impairment that is expected to keep them from working for a year or more or to result in death. Disabled people who have not worked long enough under social security may qualify for disability benefits under SSI if they meet the income and resource eligibility requirements. Currently 2.9 million workers and 1.8 million of their dependents are receiving social security disability benefits; another 2.2 million persons are on the SSI disability rolls. ml:[ff;smo[o)l[ql II011CE Of IIIIARn ON ALLOWASa Of WILL $11'M!
