As an example, Claiborne cites the ice cream sundae. A news account of some years back states that the sundae originated in the town of Bradford. It seems that years ago, there was a small pharmacy that boasted a soda fountain. It was not well patronized during the weekdays, as it was situated directly across the street from a bar that flourished.
