Marionette show set in Bradford BRADFORD--The Wildwood Marionette Theater will perform an adaptation of Frank Baum's fairytale "The Enchanted Cloak" at 2 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Bradford Academy Building. This performance contains elves, airies, witches, many special magical effects, and all of the elements that best exemplify the fairy tale genre. The Wildwood Marionette Theater, a professional touring company, is under the direction of Randy and Sharon Miller who both began their careers in 1968 with Syrotiak and is free to the public. Marionettes. These unique three-foot high marionettes are entirely hand carved from bass wood, a laborious process that often takes three weeks or more for the completion of just one figure. Because "The Enchanted Cloak" is of such a highly technical caliber, adults enjoy it as much as children. This performance will create a special enchantment for the whole family.
